Deeping competencies in the EU – SKlLLS on the AGENDA

The online event will focus on skills. Firstly, an introductory presentation on the Pact for Skills will be delivered, one of the flagship actions of the European Skills Agenda. The Pact for Skills is the first and latest development in the new Skills Agenda for Europe initiative. It was launched on 10 November 2020, and it aims to get public and private organisations together and encourage them to make concrete commitments to upskilling and reskilling adults. Additionally, the first speaker from the European Commission will share the latest news and updates, to acquire a better understanding of the aim, what does the Pact for Skills offer, the opportunities presented and how someone can be involved.
Since skills are one of the building blocks of the New European Innovation Agenda, the second presentation will focus on how the European Institute for Innovation & Technology (EIT)will play a prominent role in its implementation. For instance, EIT will contribute to the objectives of the Innovation Agenda by supporting 1 million deep tech talents over a 3-year period across all Member States.
