The advancement of imaging technologies and the global breakthrough of new multimodal devices (SPECT/CT, PET/CT, PET/MRI) inspired the company to venture into the development of CT and MRI technologies.

In addition to these hardware components, the company also developed independent data acquisition, reconstruction, and image processing software. The AnyScan multimodality clinical product family became the world’s first integrated device combining three different imaging modalities in a single system. Following its introduction in 2008, the AnyScan product family has increasingly played a significant role among the company’s products due to its versatile applications, customizable configurations tailored to customer needs, and cost-effective expansion possibilities. Another important product family of Mediso is the nanoScan family, dedicated to preclinical research on laboratory animals. Its key members include the SPECT/CT and PET/CT systems, each of which quickly became a leading product in the market. The development of the SPECT/CT device began in the early 2000s and achieved rapid market success, earning the Hungarian Innovation Association’s Innovation Grand Prize in 2006. Mediso’s first PET prototype was launched in 2009, won the Innovation Grand Prize in 2010, and is currently in operation at prestigious institutions such as the University of Cambridge and Harvard. In 2011, the company became the world’s first to introduce a preclinical PET/MRI system, which won the Industrial Innovation Award in 2013. Frost & Sullivan named the company the European Medical Imaging Market’s Innovative Enterprise of the Year in 2008, and in 2012, they received the Product Innovation of the Year award for the nanoScan family.
